a home for things that pile up.
i'm in the middle of a blessedly long break from work and i've been chilling so hard. this is my treat for LARPing as a neurotypical the rest of the year.
much videogames have been played! rolling updates on the Nancy Drew shrine and a new page for other cd-rom adventures.
finally got my inspiration page the way i want it. there's more content to add but the concept is there and i'm thrilled with it.
also thrilled with my collages, which you can step through via the door up there, but i do want to shout out strange sky because it's my favorite so far.
been doing a lot of tinkering. is it any of the tinkering on my to-do list? of course not, it's new projects and a secret second revamp before the first one is even done.
also doing a bit of a code cleanup. i got rid of my main stylesheet because 1) i liked the idea of my pages being self-contained and 2) i wanted every page to feel different. however i'm learning that i do in fact have an aesthetic, such as it is, and having the base styles all together saves a bit of bloat.
a shrine to my childhood idol. it's a major work in progress and will remain so for uh, a while probably. but boy do i have plans.
thinking about how little i know about the <head> section and the many neat and useful things i could be implementing if i knew about them - envisioned searching 'head best practices' but thought better of it.
on episode 11 of 16 and i have not stopped screaming in delight, except to sob sometimes.
i'm working really hard on my shrine/essay/article on the first female doctor in Japan, with whom i am obsessed. it's taking a minute, but i have a nice long break from work coming up. i would love to finish it by the end of the month if i can.
also spent a while solving some readability problems that have been bothering me for a while thanks to the incredible backdrop-filter property. it was like CSS itself kissed me on the cheek.
it's done! it's not finished but it's done, and so is the updated faves page which might be my new favorite.
last time i cried like that was over envy's death scene in fma: brotherhood. what a show.
in other news, museum is almost done. hoping to finish that up over the weekend.
my original template by the lovely kalechips served me well, but i'm ready for an update. i have some half-formed plans bouncing around for the rest of the site.
my graphics page is going to become a museum with different wings and exhibits. i'll need a zoo, aquarium, bug house, botanical garden, art exhibits, a treasure hall, and some natural history galleries. my collection of statuettes is what gave me the idea in the first place, so i might start there.
the faves page is going to receive an updated version of the current artists gallery layout. the artists page, meanwhile, will become a much wordier affair. i am very inspired by Xalli's obras.
the about page, my gif collection, and the links page all need some love but i'm not sure what direction i'm going yet.
my shrines for tarot and slime molds could both use some expansion.
future shrines: ine kusumoto, hildegard von bingen, julie de graaf, stardew, skyrim(?), over the garden wall, music stuff.
