twenty twenty six

☀️ s1 - productive chore day, then back into The Project. about-to-be former co-worker is having her baby shower tomorrow so i'm looking forward to a little socializing - might make a day of it if the weather is nice

☀️ M2 - the baby shower was a nice little time, followed it up with a good-ass sandwich and a few hours reading in the sun. despite my best efforts i'm just not vibing with The 10K Doors so it's going back to the library for now - i'll probably try it again later.

☀️ T3 - 🌕 the typical tuesday rush but nothing absurd. Frieren s1e18 and more Project - nothing else to report

☀️ W4 - i fear it will be a long week but i'll do my best not to dwell on that. uninteresting and uncreative at the moment.

🌥️ t5 - early morning, lots of prep work because it's baseball season. haircut and dinner plans tomorrow. still working on The Project!

🌧️ F6 - a remarkably chill shift, thank goodness, indeed followed by haircut and dinner with best friend (Asian market, twas delicious) - showed her The Project and she liked it which made me tiptap my feet with joy

🌩️ S7 - got out of work just before the thunderstorm spun up - little spray of hail, which was crazy. got the home chores done, made very good progress on The Project, watched Frieren s1e19+20.

🌥️ s8 - lovely birdwatching at the Panda Express, then chores, then an episode of Frieren (i definitely missed noting down a couple episodes somewhere because we just watched s1e22, whoops). The Project continues apace, i hope to have something to show for it in the next handful of weeks, but i'm so protective of it at the moment that i fear to even speak its name on the internet.

🌩️ M9 - i took a nap, which should tell you how productive i was feeling. Frieren s1e23, small brain time, weeee

🌥️ T10 - a day - definitely heading into a quiet period again so just a little bit of Skyrim and a little bit of Frieren

🌩️ W11 - 🌗 see above. it stormed again, and the sidewalks ran golden with pollen. time to take it easy on the brain for a while.

🌥️ t12 - chilly af today! had to clean up an absolute disaster at work but we survived - finished off Frieren s1 and played a little Skyrim, nothing more to report

🌩️ F13 - M16 - lost track of a couple days but they were quite same-y. had some absurd weather, from 80 degrees to snowing in two days and the roof blew off the liquor store. still watching Frieren and back into Skyrim again.

☀️ T17 - 🥂 got to see a moved-away friend! also visited with sissy, i missed her so much and she had many stories :3

☀️ W18 - 🥂 work was a clusterfuck but i got to have surprisingly lovely time with bestie at line dancing (i did not participate but i watched as though bewitched) and hanging out with my dj friend while he ran karaoke

☀️ t19 - 🌑 no thoughts, just work and Skyrim. i have a new book in from the library - novella really - but the stars have not aligned for me yet

☀️ F20 - beautiful day, ugly shift, Skyrim, small brain.

☀️ S21 - day two of a home baseball series so, unfortunately, an exact repeat of yesterday.

☀️ s22 - crafternoon with best friend and some of her vet school friends! i made a beaded possum for the car and worked on my coloring book and we got Thai food :3

☀️ M23 - made it halfway to the wellness place before realizing that my appointment was virtual, so that was at least a lovely walk if nothing else. still tuned into Skyrim at the expense of everything else.

☀️ T24 - work was work, hormones are definitely hormone-ing because the ennui is awful at the moment, but i took a walk up to campus and contemplated the many different shades of green and that made me feel a little better

☀️ W25 - 🌓 🥂 a night out - shot a round of pool and gave happydrunk compliments to anyone who did karaoke, got chatted up by a Nigerian grad student, and didn't get nearly as sloshed as i did last week

☀️ t26 - smoky all day from a controlled burn, work was frustrating in ways that had nothing to do with me at least. making plans for the weekend, we wanna go see Project Hail Mary :3

🌥️ F27 - an easier day, an episode of Frieren (s2e4), and lots of Skyrim. this is becoming a longer-haul playthrough than i've done in a while and i'm enjoying being a little OP - just got my third dragon priest mask.

☀️ S28 - 🥂 quite possibly the busiest shift i've ever worked, and that's saying something - and then a perfectly fabulous night out <3

🌥️ s29 - went to the movies for the first time since Barbie! saw Project Hail Mary which was WONDERFUL - i figured i'd cry a little but i didn't expect to be reduced to sobs in public. i would die for Rocky over and over, for real.

☀️ s1 - 🌕 lots of chores and trying to conserve body heat. still working on Grave Peril, but i might put it down so i can knock out The Ten Thousand Doors of January.

☀️ M2 - no brain cells for reading today so i ended up playing Bookworm Adventures instead. watched Milo Rossi's new video and cooked dinner - there's a new safe food for the rotation!

🌧️ T3 - ughhhhhh interpersonal bullshit at work that my autistic ass is not built to handle. alas, we persevere, and we play 00s computer games to cope. remember when games would try to guilt you out of closing them?

🌥️ W4 - second verse, worse than the first. work sucked. ah well. came home and spent some time gathering golden walnuts in Stardew. a coworker has a birthday coming up so i may go out for that and try to reset my view of other humans

🌥️ t5 - a much better day, thankfully - maybe i can sort out the brainspace and get back to reading soon. not much else to report!

☀️ F6 - i'm ready for the week to end and i'm ready to not be held hostage by my hormones for a little while. it was a really lovely warm day, hopefully more to come

☀️ S7 - another lovely warm day! work was a lot but it was a pretty decent time. brain is resting, i guess, because all it wants is stardew and phone games

☀️ s8 - alas, the first proper void day of 2026. brain is gross, time to hibernate.

☀️ M9 - 🌗 hibernation continues but i was at least able to do some reading - finished off Grave Peril and started Summer Knight. headspace still a little shaky though.

🌥️ T10 - work, reading, a cocktail to take the edge off. brain's still a little iffy but i'm getting through it. my much overdue attempt at socializing might happen this weekend but i'm not betting my life on it by a long shot

🌥️ W11 - had an unfortunate incident with a gallon tub of honey mustard, but we shall not speak of it. sketching out ideas for a bit of an overhaul/simplification for the site, we shall see.

☀️ t12 - weird little day - saw a man get stuck on a scissorlift and have to parkour onto a nearby balcony, which was neat. saw a kitty in a window on the way to work. worked on outofatuan v4 on the big desktop setup with two monitors and it was such a treat

🌥️ F13 - a normal day for the most part, though i had to have my first little cry of 2026 for reasons that include: i miss my mom and her side of my heritage; i may have voted in the last american election ever; they're hurting the girls they've been hurting the little girls for decades there are little girls being eaten alive and still the wolves run free oh my god oh my god oh my god

🌥️ S14 - surprisingly chill shift, went home and had an attack of the weirds so i took a nap? then watched Frieren s1e4-6 - it's so fuckin cute. read another couple chapters of Summer Knight which gives me hope for the brainspace

🌧️ s15 - this weather really mi's my graine, man. got the chores done and back home just before the rain started back up. finished off Summer Knight, got two rounds of dishes done, contemplated how accurate my tarot outlook for this month has been so far

☀️ M16 - lazy day. knocked back half of Death Masks, disappeared into silly phone games afterward

🌥️ T17 - 🌑 got my ass beat at work but in a kind of pleasant, zen way - stayed for a few drinks and got gloriously crossfaded listening to music after i got home

🌥️ W18 - work sucks, people suck, watched Frieren s1e7+8 about it. beh.

🌥️ t19 - more weird brain, one more Frieren episode. i will be so excited when the autistic/existential ennui breaks - might try to hurry it along with a tasteful application of loud music and alcohol

🌧️ F20 - silly shift, splurged on a very tasty sandwich after, then came home and finished off Death Masks and a couple chapters of Blood Rites. crazy little rainstorm came up out of nowhere.

☀️ S21 - 🥂 lovely chill shift followed by Frieren s1e10 (holy shit), then out to the bars for dancing and bullshit! twas a lovely time and i made a couple friends to dance with <3

🌥️ s22 - cold blustery day spent doing chores. got a good chunk through Blood Rites which is by far my least favorite book in the series so far but we persevere.

🌥️ M23 - husband's got a sinus infection so he stayed home today. made more progress on Dresden and watched Frieren s1e11 but otherwise still adrift on the ennui.

☀️ T24 - 🌓 hurt myself AGAIN - only mildly this time, but i fuckin split my lip and chipped a tiny bit off a tooth from just... being stupid about where i put my face i guess? my kingdom for some decent proprioception, fuck. anyway, watched Frieren s1e12-14 so that was at least better.

🌥️ W25 - and now i have husband's sinus infection, lmao. toughed out the shift, hopefully will not have to do so tomorrow - watched Frieren s1e15 and finished Blood Rites finally! i might get through Dead Beat in the next two days but if i don't, 4 books in a shitty month is still pretty good.

🌥️ t26 - alas, had to go to work all sniffly and gross. spent the rest of the day mouthbreathing and being pitiful.

☀️ F27 - back on the up and up. work was surprisingly easy, and i finally have a Project (Dresden-related...) that's holding my attention. life is good!

☀️ S28 - shift was busy but smooth, got to honest-to-god help a little old lady cross the street -watched Frieren s1e16-17 between hyperfixating on my new project

☀️ t1 - happy public domain day! last day of my break and it was spent working on some art and tidying things up around here. i get to work with my besties in the morning - i swear they're the only part of work that i missed. also started a Gideon reread in the hopes of manifesting the announcement of Alecto.

🌧️ F2 - work was fine for a first day back, just a ton of prep and an otherwise quiet shift; came home, read some more Gideon, went and got asian food with best friend, back home and back to reading. might be able to finish it up tonight and pick up Harrow tomorrow.

🌥️ S3 - 🌕 met the first new creature of the year, a very dapper Triodopsis hopetonensis. finished up Gideon (the last twenty or so pages through abject tears), then read the first locked tomb short story, further confirming to me that Cam and Pal are the true main characters of the series. got a start on both Harrow and a locked tomb shrine (which at the moment is just a list of the words Tamsyn Muir made me look up)

☀️ s4 - a nice productive deep-cleaning day, sorely needed. a little reading, a little coloring, a return to modded Stardew Valley to see if that itches the brain. gorgeous pink sunset to round it off though.

☀️ M5 - i wish my brain did better on days home alone. intended to zone in on Stardew, ended up staring into space longer than i would've liked. got to the one-third mark in Harrow, which is as mind-altering as it was last time. husband brought home some Sharon Creech books for me for lighter reading material.

🌥️ T6 - love a slow work day where i get to read on the clock for an hour - finished Harrow, god bless her, then finished Chasing Redbird expecting it to be a far lighter read than it was, but it was fitting. convoluted thoughts on the ending but i've got three more of her books to go through before make a final opinion.

☀️ W7 - doused myself in buffalo sauce at work by accident, twas lovely... got to read on the clock more and finished up another library book. as always, trying not to stress too much about awful things happening out in the world that i have no control over. it's hard.

🌥️ t8 - work was a circus but thankfully they're not my monkeys, good lord. no reading today, just straight into Stardew when i got home (just made it to summer, working on affording a pony and and getting to the bottom of the mine)

🌧️ F9 - quick and easy shift - managed to read a couple pages of Nona. Stardew in full swing from the second i got home, pretty much. i have a duck and a goat now. :3 put in a library request for Babel by RF Kuang - had it a couple months ago but the reading urge died before i could get to it. fingers crossed.

🌧️ S10 - 🌗 taught a coworker how to make paper stars :3 also relocated some tiny baby snails to safer environs. got the shopping done (giggle fit on the way home) and then zoned in on my farm for uh... longer than i care to admit.

🌥️ s11 - cleaned up the house, cooked some dinner - otherwise just continued the hyperfixation. decided i'm going to try to go out next saturday though, i'm in the mood to socialize and listen to loud music. debating whether to buy cheap tickets to the concert at the bar down the street, or head to the actual bar district and catch a dj... time will tell.

☀️ M12 - chilly today. really should've gone to the library with husband but instead sat at home and was anxious most of the day. still working on my farm, but i think starting tomorrow i'm going to make a push to finish Nona before i lose too many braincells. Babel came in and i -will- read it this time.

☀️ T13 - pleasantly busy at work (though still very much worth bitching about in the moment, as always). needed some outside time so i read a chunk of Nona out on the porch in the sun, then we went and got our flu shots. i've spent too long shrimped on the couch playing Stardew and my lower back is killing me so i'm taking a break today.

🌧️ W14 - back still kinda fucked but i made it through the day, finished up Nona when i got home and then directly into Babel which thankfully is already pulling me in. very cold, long, drizzly morning but i had good company so it wasn't too strenuous.

🌥️ t15 - officially an old lady. properly tweaked my back trying to wrangle a case of pork belly and have been in pain all day. :c hoping it resolves itself and i don't have to go get medical care i can't afford. hate to be a downer but so it goes.

☀️ F16 - back is slightly better but i'm out of work until Tuesday (hopefully no longer than that...). just been me and the heating pad and boredom most of the day, though i did read a hundred pages or so of Babel, which i'm really enjoying.

🌥️ S17 - bed and heating pad still, alas. finished Babel and went back to Stardew Valley to ease my anxiety.

☀️ s18 - 🌑 i am now a bad bitch with a back brace! and also a lot of anxiety still! one more day at home and then we see what a workday brings...

☀️ M19 - all the healing i managed to do since thursday was completely voided out by moving wrong (while wearing the back brace!) and feeling something slip. now i'm in pain again and lost all the mobility i gained back and i get to try and go get xrayed tomorrow.

☀️ T20 - woke up in far less pain but still went to the doctor - was basically told "yeah, that sucks, don't do that" which... i'm glad it wasn't more serious i guess but damn that shit hurt like a mf tho? back to work tomorrow, we shall see how it goes?

🌧️ W21 - didn't re-injure myself (so far) today! read a few chapters of Storm Front (oh Dresden) when i got home. the pain flared up real bad as i was trying to go to bed so i lost some sleep to that, but it eventually passed.

🌥️ t22 - laughed myself half to death at work and it must have had some healing properties because i'm feeling a lot better. did some pt, read some more Dresden, kept up with the winter storm forecasts.

🌥️ F23 - the winter weather won't set in until tomorrow, it looks like - hopefully no power outages. lots of food and supplies stocked up so after tomorrow's shift we shouldn't have to leave the house for a few days

❄️ S24 - work was slow so i was able to get out ahead of the freezing rain. hopefully no major power outages. spent the evening getting back into SDV

🌧️ s25 - no hard freeze, no power emergencies - all is thankfully well. finished up Storm Front and started on Fool Moon when i wasn't knee-deep in farm chores

☀️ M26 - 🌓 delightfully lazy day of reading Fool Moon and working on my farm. watched Frieren s1e2+3 while eating a fancy meat and cheese feast. my back is maybe 85% back to normal which i'm so thankful for. unfortunately it looks like i'll have to keep jonesing for a night out for a little while longer because it's going to stay cold...

☀️ T27 - cold cold cold. first shift without the back brace! much time spent in the valley, plans for thrift shopping on thursday, halo around the moon

☀️ W28 - an uneventful morning followed by an uneventful afternoon of playing in the valley. got a sign of life from sissy which makes me happy, i miss her so much. dinner with best friend to round it out since she's going away for a month.

☀️ t29 - random day off, so i went on a little explore. hit the habitat for humanity re:store and the thrift shop, though i came up emptyhanded both times. ah well, didn't spend any money at least. had a complete comedy of errors play out before me at the dispensary, which i think resulted in me getting a penjamin for free, so you know - win some lose some. finished Fool Moon also, yay!

☀️ F30 - cold and uneventful shift, came home and read What Moves the Dead in one sitting - scary as shit dude - and put some more hours into the farm

☀️ S31 - it didn't get above freezing all day today. no hot water at work, which was a pain in the ass. nearing the halfway point on Grave Peril and feeling slightly intimidated by the next four books sitting stacked on my nightstand...
